Telangana CM seeks monetary help amidst floods

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Thursday will hold an emergency high-level review meeting in Hyderabad to review the flood situation arising due to heavy rains in the state. As the State government has to submit a report to the Centre on the loss caused due to heavy rains and flash floods in the state, CM Rao has urged all the officials concerned to come prepared for the meeting. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday urged the Union government to release Rs 1,350 crore immediately for rehabilitation and relief works in the wake of heavy rains this week that left a trail of devastation. At least 30 persons lost their lives in rain-related incidents.
